Set up your Activities

Activities are the types of jobs you do and allow you to set several characteristics. We would recommend that you think about this before you start entering data. It's better to have a plan!

Add, Edit, and Delete

If you've not already, check how you add, edit, and delete things on the app.

Field Names

Field	Required?	Description
Name	Yes	Give the activity a name. This is what appears in any dropdown menu on the app, so it needs to be clear, concise and easily identifiable.
Job Number Prefix	Yes	When a job is created, it is given a sequential number starting at 1. To make it easy to identify a job from its job number quickly, it is given a prefix. For instance, for a Service Call, you could decide on a prefix of SC so that jobs would be numbered SC1, SC2, SC3 and so on.
Description	No	This is where you describe the activity in a little more detail for other users on the app.
Job Type	Yes	Choose if the job should be a Single or Repeating Job. Single Jobs These would be for one-off jobs like installations and service calls. When these jobs are completed, they are closed, and a new job would need to be created to follow up. Repeating Jobs Generally, repeating Jobs are ideal for maintenance or regular inspections. When this option is chosen, you'll be asked for the Frequency at which the job repeats. The available options are Weekly, 4-Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, 6-Monthly, and Annually. When repeating jobs are completed, the app closes the current job and then duplicates it with a new due date, calculated by adding the Frequency to the Due Date of the completed job.
Frequency	Yes	If you choose a Repeating Job Type, you'll need to set a frequency at which the job repeats.
Response Time	Yes	This sets the target for how quickly you plan to react to the job request. Maybe this is in your agreed Service Level Agreement or set by your own customer service targets. When a job is created, it automatically sets the due date to today plus the response time.
Default Job Length	Yes	Here, you can set how long the activity will typically last in hours.
